Abstract

Join this session to gain insights into how GeoDanmark’s GeoFA dataset functions as a dynamic and evolving data ecosystem in practice.

Municipalities are increasing the availability of open geodata, yet sustaining its use and maintenance remains a challenge. In this presentation, PhD student at AAU, María Elena López Reyes, introduces her research on open data ecosystems, focusing on outdoor recreation practices connected to GeoFA across civic initiatives, municipal data work, and governance coordination.

She highlights the value of approaching the ecosystem as a relational field of practices, where data quality and relevance depend on ongoing coordination across actors. The research identifies five key adaptive strategies for sustaining geodata ecosystems, including stabilising data circulation, aligning responsibilities, and carrying data forward over time.

Målgruppe

Alle deltagere ved Kortdage 2026, der er brugere af GeoDanmark-data og andre, der arbejder med opbygning af geodata-systemer.
