Abstract

Danmarks rekreative cykelnet (Kirsten Krogh Hansen, DKNT)

Scientific analysis of design principles and cycling options (Michael Szell, ITU)
We evaluate the network, finding good consistency with its design principles. Then, we develop a generally applicable method to assess the quality of any node network. We take the perspective of a cyclist starting at any node on the network and create a loop census that lists all roundtrips in the network up to day-trip length. This method identifies where in Denmark, and for which users, there could be bottlenecks in the network.

Målgruppe

The target group are participants at Kortdage 2026 working as planners or with GIS in municipalities. The target group is also consultants working with mobility and sustainable mobility, and GIS researchers.
